Keeping Up With Parts

Keeping Up With PartsIf you do any work at all on your own guns, even cleaning or changing out chokes, you'll begin to accumulate parts. Sure, you know what they are now, but give it a year or two, even a few months and you'll find yourself picking up a little doodad and thinking, "this looks familiar, but I haven't a clue what it is." An easy way to keep that from happening is to put your miscellaneous parts in little baggies—sandwich bags will do—and write down what the part is on the back of a business card or something about that size, then stick the card in the bag. That way, when you pick up the part from a drawer or cleaning kit, you'll know what it is and what it goes to. ~ DF
